Guatemala Update

Earlier this week, there was an attempt to pass the adoption law as a matter of national urgency, however Congress did not have a quorum. The Guatemalan Congress will convene again this coming Tuesday. It is not definite that they will read the law on that date but everyone is hopeful. The bill has been read two times and we are awaiting the 3rd and final hearing. We want a referral as soon as possible, but also realize the benefits of waiting a little longer (ie. more time to save money and pay off debt and less time that we will have to pay for daycare for 2 children). God has a plan so we will try to wait patiently.
